Health and Well-being

The need for medical care in Africa is a constant challenge. There is no state healthcare system and there are great distances to travel to visit Doctors and Hospitals. Treatment is expensive. We help to provide the infrastructure to help ensure the children receive best possible access to medical care, treatment, medicines and resources when they need it
Educational Development

Education in Africa is major priority and we believe that all children have the right to education as a route out of poverty. One of our key goals is to ensure every child has a clean and safe environment and all the educational resources they need to help grow the foundations of personal growth, social well-being and future prospects.
Home Maintenance

The Mayenjane Children's home needs on-going regular inspections and general maintenance and improvements. Keeping on top of the ever-growing needs is a challenge financially and there often can be extensive delays in the supply of materials and access to quality services, as well as finding suitable qualified trades and volunteers.
Sustainable Vegetable Project

In Africa, there are a great variety of vegetables. The Mayenjane vegetable project grows onions, sweetcorn and spinach, all with the aim of creating a sustainable food source for the children. The children are very involved in growing the vegetables, learning the vital skills that help them to understand the importance of nutritious home grown food and self sufficiency.
